The Youth Fellowship of the First United Methodist Church of Perkasie exists to provide a place where young people of junior high and high school age (6th – 12th grades) can practice what it means to live in a community of faith. Y.F., as it’s called, meets every Wednesday during the school year at the church from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Each meeting includes a time of sharing, a time of prayer, grounding in God’s Word through devotions led by adult leaders, games (just for the fun of it) and a snack (usually homemade cookies baked for the Y.F. by a wonderful member of our congregation).
Off-site activities include an annual spiritual retreat which is anticipated by Y.F. members and adult leaders alike. In keeping with the vision of our congregation, the Y.F. is seeking to have more impact in our community. To that end, we have established a relationship with Phoebe Richland which allows the Y.F. to visit that facility and assist in conducting recreational activities for the residents. Of course, we also have been known to go to an amusement park or two! Through all these activities and events, young people are getting to know one another as brothers and sisters in Christ and are learning how to encourage and support each other as Christians as well as how to show the love of Jesus Christ to the world. Y.F. is all a part of how disciples are made at First Church!
All adult volunteers who work with Youth Fellowship comply with our Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
Below are some of the basic forms required for all YF members. As off-site activities are scheduled, look for the permission forms here as well:
